I’m very excited to announce my involvement in the ‘Femmes of the Fens’ Charity Art Exhibition next month. A show I am co-curating with two of my fellow Baron Artists, Jemima Cholmondeley-Smith and Rosie Ablewhite.
The show will feature local female artists creating works of art which celebrate inspiring women from Lincolnshire. It will also be raising money for the West Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Service (WLDAS). These are a registered charity providing support and assistance to women, men and children suffering, or fleeing from domestic abuse.
With the theme of our show, we thought this would be the perfect local charity to support and showcase. We also hope to include a piece in the exhibition that will be created by residents of one of the local shelters.
We aim for the show to celebrate an array of Lincolnshire women. There will be some faces you may recognise and some you may not. We are inviting local female artists to create artworks that tell the stories of these women.
Femmes of the Fens is an exciting adventure for us and we really hope to bring an eye opening exhibition to the county.
The show will run from Mon 7th – Sun 13th November at the Gallery of St Martin’s Lincoln.
