Lincoln Creates 2022 Puzzle Trail Goes Live!
I unveiled my Piecing Us Together puzzle trail in Lincoln today, and you can catch it now until November 6th, 2022.
This jigsaw puzzle trail has been commissioned as part of Lincoln Creates 2022, managed by Lincoln BIG. It sees 40 giant hand painted puzzle pieces form a colourful and fun trail throughout the City.
I’ve been out and about in Lincoln today spotting some puzzle pieces in their new homes!
A Lincoln Business Collaboration.
I am over the moon that Lincoln Creates 2022 has accepted my Piecing Us Together proposal. The chance to create some colourful artwork to enhance the city was incredibly exciting. Even more exciting was the prospect of collaborating with 40 local businesses to make it happen!
Each of the pieces I painted represents a different local business, where the puzzle piece is now on display. Colourful characters you can spot include a fudge maker, a chemist and even a hurdy gurdy player!
Each piece measures approximately 21cm and you will spot them in windows, along with a little bit of information about the business and the characters depicted.
I love that each puzzle piece tells its own little story about the business or their customers.
Win Prizes!
What could be more fun that a puzzle trail? A puzzle trail with prizes!
If you’d like to follow the trail, why not grab a map from one of the participating businesses, the Waterside Shopping Centre, or the Lincoln Visitor Information Centre?
With the map you’ll have the chance to win a 1000 piece jigsaw and print of the artwork by completing the puzzle trail quiz!
A Colourful Crowd!
Once the trail is complete the pieces will come back together to form a large, vivid crowd scene. The artwork will later be framed for public display in a location to be revealed soon.
I can’t wait to see all the pieces reunited!
The Piecing Us Together trail became possible thanks to some of the money raised from the public auction of the Lincoln Imps in 2021. This was another exciting Lincoln trail that I was also fortunate to be involved. You can find out more about my design right here.
